Колекция „Сиджили” в интернет / Kadı records digitized
Основната текуща задача на отдела е обработката на колекция „Сиджили”, с цел всички архивни единици от нея да бъдат цифровизирани и включени в „Дигитална библиотека” на НБКМ. По този начин над 170 кадийски книги ще бъдат предоставени за свободно ползване през интернет.
Всички налични сиджили ще бъдат обработени, заснети и включени в „Дигиталната библиотека” на НБКМ до пролетта на 2011 г. Вече са достъпни и първите напълно готови архивни единици: кадийски книги от София, Русе и Видин. Достъпът до тях се осъществява като след вход в „Дигитална библиотека” се избира масив „Сиджили”.
В научната обработка на сиджилите участват сътрудниците на отдел „Ориенталски сбирки” Стоянка Кендерова, Аспарух Велков, Севдийе Али и Стоян Шиваров. Стоян Шиваров отговаря за кадийските книги от каза София.
Цялата дейност по цифровизацията и описанието на сиджилите се осъществява в рамките на проект „Дигитализация и запазване на писменото наследство на България”.

The main current task of “Oriental Collections” department is creating up-to-date catalog, description and digitalization of “Sicil” collection. Thus over 170 kadı (qadi) records are going to be included in the freely accessible “Digital Library” of Bulgarian National Library (NBKM).
All sicils are going to be described (both in Bulgarian and English language), digitized and included into “Digital Library” of NBKM till the spring of 2011. First documents are already available. You could access kadı records from Sofia (Sofya), Ruse (Rusçuk) and Vidin by simply selecting “Сиджили/Sijills” from the menu of the “Digital Library”.
The scientific description of the Ottoman kadı records is being done by the experts from “Oriental Collections” department: Stoyanka Kenderova, Asparuh Velkov, Sevdiye Ali and Stoyan Shivarov. Stoyan Shivarov is responsible for sicils from the kaza of Sofya.
All this work is part of a much larger scale project called “Digitalizing and preserving the written legacy of Bulgaria”.
